Tea Strainer Necklace

We’ve transformed one of our favourite antique tea accessories into a pendant. Inspired by the traditional tea leaf strainer, often made as a perforated metal sphere suspended from a chain, our version reimagines this everyday object as a necklace in recycled 925 sterling silver, with a perforated orb suspended from a twisted sterling silver rope chain.

The perforations echo the dots that have become integral to SIGLA’s visual identity, bringing our siglum, the maker’s mark stamped into each piece, into the design itself. Like our much loved Salt Shaker Ring, the necklace is part of our ongoing exploration of everyday objects, reimagined through unexpected contexts.

The adjustable chain fastens at 50cm or 60cm, so you can wear it short at the décolletage by day or longer, sitting at the bust, by night.
